Will it work on my broadband?

Elitnes works on any broadband provider in Ireland, including eir, Virgin Media, Vodafone, Sky and smaller providers. What matters is the speed and stability of your connection, not the company:

  • Fibre and cable broadband are comfortably fast enough for several HD screens or 4K.
  • Rural homes are increasingly connected to fibre through the National Broadband Plan. Fixed wireless and 4G/5G home broadband also work well with a strong signal.
  • Older copper (DSL) lines can be slower. Run a speed test on the device you will watch on: you need about 10 Mbps per HD screen and 25 Mbps for 4K.

For the steadiest picture during big matches, connect your TV or streaming stick to the router with an Ethernet cable. Our troubleshooting guide has more tips.
